Babe Ruth Baseball (13-16)

DDAA's Babe Ruth 13-16 Baseball Program is for players aged 13 to 16 and is played on a traditional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches. The Babe Ruth program will compete against teams from neighboring towns.

Our Babe Ruth 13-16 division is versatile, accommodating athletes of varying skill levels—from those who play casually to those who represent their high schools on the diamond. Best efforts are made to ensure that our schedule does not clash with school team commitments, allowing student-athletes the option to engage in both.

While the competition may be fierce, coaching at this level remains firmly rooted in teaching the core fundamentals and situational baseball.

SPRING
The DDAA Spring baseball season usually kicks off around mid-April and wraps up by mid-June.

SUMMER
Subject to demand, DDAA aims to assemble as many Summer tournament teams as feasible. Summer tournaments are primarily open to players registered in the Spring season, with specific age-eligibility criteria in place. These teams are very competitive and do require tryouts.

For other players not involved in tournament teams, DDAA tries to provide FREE drop-in practice sessions throughout the summer.

FALL
The DDAA Fall baseball season usually kicks off in early September, just after Labor Day, and lasts until late October. Fall ball features a mix of match ups both in-town and against neighboring towns.

WINTER
For those looking to stay active during the colder months, DDAA offers an indoor Winter Workout Program at the New England Sports Center. Scheduled to begin in January and extend until March, this initiative welcomes players not only from Derry but also from nearby towns.
