                                                       FIELD IMPROVEMENTS

                                   Dougout.jpg

With Derry Little Leagues close relationship with the Derry Parks & Recreation Department, we have been and continue to make improvements to all of our fields.

Last fall, a new infield was put in at Hood Field. This year the same has been done to Smith, Humphrey and O'Hara, as well as new dugouts at Smith & Humphrey Fields

We would like to thank the parks & recreation department for their efforts in assisting with improving these fields."

How can a team hit into a triple play without the defensive team touching the ball?

an infield fly ---- one out,

the first base runner takes off, passes the second base runner and touches 3rd --- two outs,

the ball comes down and strikes the second base runner --- three outs.
